At Visionary Eye Associates, Dr. Dao believes exceptional eye care begins with genuine relationships. He takes the time to listen, understand each patient's individual needs, and provide thoughtful, personalized care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
A graduate of the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Dao brings a strong foundation in primary eye care, ocular disease management, and surgical co-management. His approach combines thorough examinations, clear communication, and a commitment to helping patients maintain healthy vision throughout their lives.

At Visionary Eye Associates, we believe exceptional eye care goes beyond simply prescribing glasses or contact lenses. It's about building lasting relationships, understanding each patient's unique needs, and providing care that makes a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.
Dr. Chuong Dao is passionate about creating an environment where patients feel welcomed, heard, and comfortable asking questions. He believes that taking the time to listen, explain findings, and discuss treatment options is just as important as the examination itself. His goal is to help every patient feel confident in their eye health and the care they receive.
Education & Clinical Experience
Dr. Dao earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Florida in 2006 and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2012.
Throughout his clinical training, he gained experience in a variety of healthcare settings, developing a strong foundation in comprehensive primary eye care, ocular disease management, and surgical co-management.
His clinical rotations included Dorchester House, a multidisciplinary community health center in Massachusetts, and a Veterans Affairs healthcare facility in Lowell, Massachusetts, where he had the privilege of providing eye care to military veterans.
Dr. Dao also completed clinical training at the Dan and Hoffman Eye Center in South Florida, gaining experience in diagnosing and managing ocular diseases, as well as providing preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing LASIK, PRK, and cataract surgery.
These experiences helped shape his approach to patient care, emphasizing clinical thoroughness, patient education, and individualized treatment.
Beyond the Office
Outside of the office, Dr. Dao enjoys spending time outdoors, especially camping and fishing around Jacksonville and the surrounding areas.
As a Jacksonville-area eye care provider, he values the opportunity to build lasting relationships with the individuals and families he serves.
